Apr 01, Michelle rated it really liked it Shelves: Sin Tropez is the debut novel by Aita Ighodaro that takes us to all of the most exclusive hangouts of the ultra rich and gives a glimpse into the high class social scene.

Ighodaro paints a colorful portrait of excess in a world where the rich are not used to being told no and the girls are all wanting to catch themselves a lasting piece of the action. Please try again later. There are girls, there are parties, there is sex. We know to expect this going in, and we are not disappointed. It is what it is.

Pleasant fluff, with a happy ending for all. The Beach Read, and you could do a lot worse.

If I've one complaint it's that the book is a bit weak on plot. Some people like that-- you might, who knows?

Truly, Ighodaro showed herself a good student of the Nothing Much Happening school of fiction, where drama is shunned and the ordinary is elevated to art not an insult, I promise. Even the things that could have been worked up to the status of Events were treated in a non-event way by not hitting us over the head with it, if that makes sense. It was just like Lucky for our author she manages to keep it interesting enough that the lack of stupendous plotlines doesn't ruin the book.
