I am so tired from work. You are not a slave to your children and your children are not your slaves. You are part of a family, and families help each other. Teach kids this value by asking for their help. Our kids have feelings and those feelings are important. Teach your kids how to respond to their emotions by helping them label what they are feeling. Jonathan is walking around yelling at his little sister. Hey buddy, it seems like you are mad. So I guess you are annoyed because your little sister did something. Did she take one of your toys again?

She always takes my toys! That must be hard. If you are incorrect with your assumption as seen in the example , they will let you know. Timers have saved my parenting. It helps to have an end to activities. It usually helps to give the kids a warning before you do so. This works for all kinds of activities: Be prepared though, because kids will always push the limits on this one.

If you know that there will be kicking and screaming when the TV goes off, be prepared to take the child to their room. Children need to know that you love them and that your love does not fluctuate based on their behavior. You will always love them.

So I started doing an activity that they love to do right before bed. My youngest likes to roughhouse, so we wrestled for five minutes before bed. There was a problem filtering reviews right now. Please try again later. My gerontology professor in graduate school read Love You Forever to our class one evening. My tears started to flow.

Listening to this charming and lovely story was a very emotional experience. A memorable experience that remains with me. This morning, a friend on social media asked for assistance in recommending favorite books for children. Immediately my thoughts went to Love You Forever. The truth is, this book is highly recommended reading for babies, young children, tweens, teens and adults of all ages.

It is one of the most beautiful, sentimental, and empathetic written books of all time. I discovered myself and my mother in each word. It was as though the author knew my personal story. It's a universal story, reaching across all cultures, ethnicities, ages and genders.

A mother held her new baby and v very slowly rocked him back and forth, And while she held him, she sang: I'll love you forever, I'll like you for always, As long as I'm living my baby you'll be. On the last day of class my gerontology professor gave each student a copy of Love You Ever. It has a cherished place in my home library.

The great news is Love You Forever can be purchased on Amazon. Kindle Edition Verified Purchase. I absolutely LOVE this book!!! I read it to my daughters when they were little. Then I made sure that each one had a copy. Now I have grand children and have bought a copy for each one, have a hard cover copy, and now a Kindle copy. I read this to the children before bedtime nap or night time. It is a great story of enduring love, loving through good times and you-are-driving-me-crazy times, from infancy to the ends of our lifetime.

This book meant even more after reading on Robert Munsch's website: The song was my song to my dead babies. After reading that, it just added to how much I love it. When I am with the grand children I will quote the song part to them. I was given a copy of this book when both my children were born and it brought me to tears, in a good way because we all would do anything for our kids. My kids are in their 20's now and I still think about this book when ever someone has a baby. My nephews' wife is having a baby soon and this is going to be one of the shower gifts--I'm sure she'll love it as much as I do.

I first found out about this book in church, our priest read it to the parishioners every Mother's Day and the tears would flow I never knew the real meaning behind the book for many years. My oldest son is I cry every single time. I just bought it for my friends who are expecting their first. I hope it touches them as it did me. I bought these because I have 4 nieces very close to all and a daughter all pregnant and these work for the "card" that goes with the shower gift. You sign the inside cover and add a special note.

I got this book when the first of my 5 children was born. I - still to this day - cannot read it without crying I'm tearing up right now. Any mother will be able to relate to this story, if not now then when you experience your first post-toddler and beyond. My 3yr old daughter loves this book. She likes that the boy is loved no matter what and that the mother cares for him the same even as he grows up. For all the negative reviews about how it is "weird" after the child grows up, they are not looking at the book through a child's eyes. Perhaps it is not for everyone, but my daughter loves it.

It conveyed the intended message to her, "No matter what you do or how old you are, you are always loved". I don't think rigid adult requirements for realism should be superimposed on a children's book. I love this little book. Let L be the original length of the string, and R be what is remaining once you have cut the string twice.

Interestingly, the Singapore method of solution is different. It requires us to think more visually about the string: Then 14m, and are left with a piece that is a third of the size of what was cut.

The areas of the faces of a rectangular box are 84 cm 2 , 70 cm 2 and 30 cm 2. What is the volume of the box? First we need to work out the possible side lengths, by seeing which two numbers multiply to be the area of each face. The only way to make 84 with one each of these common factors are 14 from the top line and 6 from the bottom.

So the edge bordering the 84 and 70 faces has length 14, and the edge bordering the 84 and 30 edges has length 6. There are four numbers.
